About me.
Hey, I’m Jackson Helms, a senior at the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), studying Visual Effects (VFX). Originally from Chicago, I’ve always had a passion for blending art and technology, which is what led me to dive into fields like videography, photography, sound design, and motion media.
Growing up with my younger brothers as my actors in my home movies gave me a love for dynamic visuals and working with people, and that’s something I try to channel into my work. Whether I'm capturing a moment on film, designing a soundscape, or crafting effects to bring a scene to life, I’m always looking for ways to push my creativity and technical skills further.
Outside of school, I’m usually climbing, playing, writing, and producing music, reading comics, or watching animated shows (big fan of all things superhero and fighting). I also love sports, especially if the Chicago Bulls are playing. I’m all about finding that balance between staying active and indulging in creative hobbies.
I’m excited to keep learning and growing in the world of VFX, and I can’t wait to see where this journey takes me. Thanks for checking out my profile!
